This is one of the best secluded, untouched gems of Costa Rica. The accommodations was awesome, the outside kitchen/Rancho is perfect for multi families and the beach was literally a few steps away. Marvin and his wife are very helpful and polite and the owners Carlos and Alejandra were amazing. If you want perfection, its here!

We absolutely loved our stay at La Gobeta. After reading the previous reviews, we knew we were going to be in a secluded area of Costa Rica. It was such a relaxing week with our family. There were 12 of us that traveled together. There are 3 rooms that sleep 4 people each. The open air living was awesome. We played in the beach and relaxed in the hammocks every day. We drove into Samara twice during our stay. The drive was so beautiful but 4 wheel drive is definitely recommended. The kids loved the small pool at night while the parents sat around and talked. Marvin was so welcoming and the meal service by Gulmar and Dominga were outstanding. We brought cards to play in the evening. It was so nice and relaxing to not have a TV to distract us. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful and secluded beach vacation.
Beautiful property with gorgeous secluded beach. It’s a longer drive and a little difficult to get there but when you do it’s great. I would recommend hiring Dominga for meals. The food she prepared was delicious and way cheaper then eating out.

Best place I have ever stayed !5/5
This is the most tranquil place, right on the beach! The beach is flanked on both sides with rock pools, full of shells and sea life. Palm trees help shade the beach front in the heat of the day! The caretaker José is wonderful and very attentive and helpful! Boogie boards are provided and a couple of surf boards. Kitchen has everything you need. We lived in the outdoor “rancho” when we were not on the beach. I am trying to figure out how I can get back soon!! Thank you so much!!

We had a wonderful time at this home in San Miguel! The owner, caretaker, and housekeeper were gracious and helpful- suggestions for day trips, restaurants, and gifts of fruits we’d never heard of!
We went to playa Coyote, Punta Islita, and Playa Carillo- but none as beautiful as the beach and view from our front yard!
We loved the Cabana where we spent most of our time off the beach- cooking, reading. Wish we had one at home.
The house itself was laid out more like a motel, with three bedrooms/bathrooms with separate entrances, and no where to sit inside.
This was a great first trip to Costa Rica- hope to return!

Quiet and lovely location on the beach....well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds!
Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful time at Carlos lovely beachfront paradise. Great family time lots of time spent in ocean and pool, played yard games during day and enjoyed card and board games in evenings. Had a fire on the beach one evening. We really enjoyed the meals Dominga cooked and delivered each evening. One morning Chico took us fishing and we had fresh caught fish prepared by Dominga for dinner that night....so good! For our family the property worked really well and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Thanks Carlos for all your help! One thing to be aware of if this is important to you is that internet connection can be a bit spotty....wasnt a big deal for us at all.

Relaxing, secluded beach.
What an amazing place! After driving a little under an hour on gravel roads, we arrived at La Gobeta. We soon realized that the drive was well worth it. Such a beautiful stretch of beach. We felt like we had it to ourselves with hardly any other people. Interesting shoreline with tide pools and cliffs at one end and an estuary at the other.
We loved walking on the beach early in the morning then coming back and fixing breakfast in the open air kitchen. A morning swim and playing in the waves with the surf boards and boogie boards that were provided was great. Afternoons were spent lazing in the hammocks, reading, and playing volleyball. We loved the open living area that let us enjoy being outdoors. We arranged lunches with Dominga. They were affordable and tasted great! We enjoyed evenings talking, playing games, and listening to the waves. At the end of the day we were welcomed with comfy beds and air conditioning.
The small town close by has a couple of grocery stores that we were able to get everything we needed. We enjoyed lots of fresh fruit!
There were 10 of us, 4 adults and 6 young people ages 16-21. We were very comfortable and had a great time! It was hard to leave. Hope to be back someday!
